Day 44 – Cheesecloth Ghosts

Onward with the Halloween crafts! I saw this tutorial a few days ago on a crafting website and I thought it was really cool. Instead of making one large ghost I made frames to make a few smaller ones that wouldn’t take as long to make/dry.

All that you really need is some wire, cheesecloth and starch (I used the recipe on the link below). You use the wire to build a frame of your ghost and then dip the cheesecloth into the cornstarch, then drape it over the frame. Mine needed to dry overnight before it was sturdy enough to stand on it’s own but it turned out really cool and now I have a small army of ghosts!

I remember making these in elementary school. Except we used a sugar-water mixture rather than starch. And then we would suck the sugar off, being kids.
