I’m a bit behind in posting as I’m trying to condense the illustration postings so that I can do a few on one post instead of individual drawings per post! In the meantime here are two projects from yesterday and the day before!
I needed to make a cardboard house for some christmas card ideas so I quickly rescued a small box from the recycling bin, added a chimney, some lights and voila! Instant mini-house.
Chocolate Chip Butterscotch Cookies
I try to bake something at least once a week so that I have a nice treat in my lunch at work, this weekend we bought some little butterscotch chocolate cups to use in cookies and I finally found a good dairy/egg free recipe to try them out in!
Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 cup margarine (room temperature)
3 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips
* I added a few tablespoons of almond milk, as the dough was quite dryand crumbly*
- Preheat oven to 350˚F.
- In a medium bowl, mix together sugars, margarine and vanilla until creamy.
- In another larger bowl- combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Add the creamy mix and the chocolate chips to the larger bowl and mix together well.
- Use a spoon to scoop dough onto an ungreased non-stick cookie sheet. Bake cookies for 7 minutes, flatten lightly with a spatula, and bake for another 3 minutes or until the edges begin to golden. Allow them to cool a few minutes before removing them from the cookie sheet.
