Day 106 – Recycled Magazine Bows

Go green this christmas and wrap your gifts with recycled paper! And while you’re at it, add some flair with these magazine bows that take only minutes to make!

I found a lot of tutorials on how to make these. All you really need is some brightly coloured magazine pages and some glue.

Using a paper cutter or scissors cut out strips 3/4″ wide

3 – 11″ strips
3 – 10″ strips
2 – 9″ strips
1 – 3.5″ strip

Twist and glue the ends of all strips but the smallest one. After you’ve glued them all, arrange them from largest to smallest into the bow shape and glue each level to the next.  Once you’re done with all the twisted strips, fold the smallest strip into a loop and glue it in the center of the bow.

Have yourself a green christmas!
